How to repair/remodel concrete driveway and porch?

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010
Holly Berry asked:

I’m thinking the driveway and walkway won’t be hard but what can I do about the steps on the porch? I want it all to be the same material and I’d like to have either a smooth concrete porch and driveway or better yet, cover it all in some type of stone like this: http://www.southeasternstone.com/images/Chocolate%20Gray%20Steps800.jpg

Hubby and I are good do-it-yourselfers but I’ve never done a project like this before. What is the best material to set in the stone (concrete?) and what do I need to know about how to do this? Specifically how to do the porch and steps please.
