Mix a solution of about 3 parts water and one part vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the whole area about an hour before you pressure wash. Or just use an all purpose cleaner. If there aren’t any plants nearby and the mold is particularly intense, you can use bleach mixed with water. But it’s a moderately dangerous and unstable mixture, it starts breaking down as soon as you mix it. And bleach doesn’t always work on molds.

Use rubber gloves, scrub the area with chlorine bleach! Works like a charm.

Power washers are good but highly over-rated when it comes to cleaning a sidewalk. All’s you really need is chlorine bleach. Spend the extra bucks and get the kind that’s outdoor (environmentally) friendly. Don’t dilute the bleach if your walks are in bad shape. Let the bleach do the work and then rinse off any residue. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
